Pro Bono Project
The "Pro Bono Project" is a unique and impactful fundraiser that blends acts of kindness with community support to fund students' educational endeavors. Here's how it works:
- Pledge for Kindness: Individuals who wish to support students in their community pledge a specific amount of money for a chosen act of kindness. They have the freedom to select the act and decide the monetary value attached to it. This pledge is a commitment to support the students in their endeavor. These acts should be achievable by children and contribute positively to the local community.
- Acts of Kindness: Students, eager to contribute to their community and earn support for their cause, review the list of pledges. They then choose acts of kindness that can be performed within their neighborhood. The students then perform their chosen acts in the name of the person who made the pledge (if that option is chosen below).
- Execution and Proof: Once students perform the chosen acts of kindness, they provide tangible proof to the pledger. This proof can be in the form of photographs, videos, or letters from the recipients of the acts, showcasing the impact of their generosity.
- Donation Process: The pledgers, satisfied with the completion of the acts, fulfill their commitment by donating the pledged amount. The donation process is streamlined through provided links, ensuring a hassle-free transfer of funds.
- Purpose of the Fundraiser: 100% of the money donated through the "Pro Bono Project" goes directly towards funding each student's end-of-year trip to Washington D.C. where they will be competing in a national competition related to the U.S. Constitution. Each donation will be applied directly toward the cost of the trip of the student that completed the request. This educational journey is a crucial opportunity for the students to showcase their talents and skills on a national platform.
